After a very long (15hr) drive in a hot stinking wagon, with 4 other mates and a dog, we arrived in Newtown, Sydney, for 2 shows with Space Bong. Friday 3rd December was the first show in Sydney at The Sandringham Hotel. Loads of people came. Sydney have a good thing going with support for bands! Almost every street I walked down had a paste up of our show. Which in my opinion doesnt get enough attention back in Adelaide. All up it was a wide mixture of puntters and everyone enjoyed! There is always somthing bad that happens on stage, every gig, guaranteed! During one of the songs i was a bit to over excited on hitting the cymbals, hit them way to hard and fell backwards off my chair, knocking down two cymbal stands! Then two people from the crowd had to get up on stage and fix them for me while i acted like nothing happened. So this time was no different, but i have never done anything that bad! Local Adelaide stoner rockers Hydromedusa also had a spot on the bill. I hadnt seen them for awhile before seeing them play in sydney. They fucking nailed it! If there is a band you should go see at the moment locally, you should see them. Other Bands playing that night were A Drift For Days, Machinoir and Looking Glass. Was the first time ive played with a band like looking glass in terms of popularity. i look up to that band alot and was very suprised we ened up headlining. weird. Looking Glass hail from ACT and is are another band i highly recomend. Seriously go see them, or grab a record! Everyone in sydney were so nice and accommodating . So, A speacial thankyou to Jb, Amy, Rosie and Anika for putting a roof over our heads for the trip!
